WWW Wednesday | 3/25/2020

It has been a tough month for reading! I’ve felt so slumpy, which led me to almost abandon this blog and do nothing but watch Youtube videos all day. Luckily, I’ve started listening to audiobooks while I play Animal Crossing and it’s completely changed the game. I’m excited to read more and finally blog again! Which means it’s time for another WWW Wednesday. WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam from Taking on a World of Words. The three questions to answer are:

1. What are you currently reading?
2. What did you recently finish reading?
3. What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?

Yes, two pretty hefty books. I’m still trudging through Well of Ascension. I’ve only heard amazing things about this one but I’m feeling like a lot of the middle could have been cut down. I had to start listening to it on audio because I was getting bored reading it with my eyes. I’m towards the end now though and it’s starting to get exciting so I’m still hyped to finish this one. I’ll definitely read the third book this time. My hold came through at my library for Queen of Air and Darkness. Not sure I was ready to pick up this 900 page tome but I’m going to give it a shot. I’m five chapters in and it’s pretty depressing and bleak so we’ll have to see if I’m in the right head space for it. If it gets more uplifting soon, let me know!

What did you recently finish reading?

After bringing this up on essentially every WWW Wednesday since its release, I’ve finally finished Ninth House! I loved it. I never understood the hype for her Six of Crows duology so I was hesitant to go into this one but I actually prefer it over her young adult books. A review will come soon.

What do you think you’ll read next?

I have my audiobook ready for this one so it should be my next read once I’ve finished Well of Ascension. It’ll be nice to get a shorter thriller/mystery in there to break up all of the heavy, dark fantasy I’ve been reading.
